Need your help: 71 bus Westfalia table attachment question.

Please see the attached picture of my table. I believe this piece fasten into something mounted on to floor or the side. What is the name of that piece? I need this piece but do not know what it is called. I think this is a male – female type lock, I have seen pictures of tables where they have the female lock on the table unlike mine.

That looks like part of a cabinet latch from a hardware store. that was added by a previous owner. the original VW / Westy piece looks like this.

It clips to a metal bar like bracket held to the body with two screws. The same style bracket used to strap the removable stool to the sink / icebox cabinet on the 71 campers. They look like this.

The table is out of an earlier Westfalia.

As posted catch was probably used in Cabinets at that time. You may try searching for old cabenet hardware.
