I've seen that one posted & while it's not something that I'd want to do, I am truly impressed with how someone got it to flow as well as it does. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Yup, good execution, and it's a resident on the Abortions thread.
If I didn't already have a project underway I would get it, Stick a Mendeola front and rear suspension in it along with a Subaru STI motor, and run the hell out of it. I would never DO THAT ^^^ to a Ghia but since it is already molested...
I don't find it THAT offensive.

Reminds me of the Rolls Royce and '40 Ford noses they used to make for Beetles. |

Looking at that hood, ...
... it really wouldn't be that much of a stretch to imagine going from the standard Firebird Trans Am eagle ...
... to something just a bit more appropriate such as this ...

I'm going to be in Travelers Rest tomorrow.... Getting it back to MN might be more interesting since we flew in.
My bride might not appreciate me swapping part the planned trip to Disney with the grandkids for another (kind of) Ghia....

Yeah, minus the cross... The eagle on the hood would spruce things up a bit. _________________ My 70 beetle was totaled Now to build the Ghia I always wanted. Rest in peace Ruby, I will miss you. Hello <insert Ghia name here>! |
