I'm needing to know how to connect the heat/air levers to the mechanism in the dash. I'm assuming nuts and bolts connect the two but I am not sure of this or of the size of the nuts/ bolts. my bus is a 71. Sorry this is kind of a stupid question but my bus was pulled out of a salvage yard and didn't have the levers but I have the levers now and am wanting to put them on this weekend.
Thanks in advance

Spring clips keep tension on the levers. So you have two blue and two red levers and two spring clips. Originally there were four plastic push in “rivets” that prevent the levers from pulling out but once I remove those rivets I never reinstall them because it just makes pulling the instrument cluster easier later on. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

x2 The plastic plugs that came from the factory are still available.

However, the spring clips do a good job of securing the levers to the arm and leaving the clips off makes subsequent removal a LOT easier. And from experience, you WILL have to remove them again at some point.
