Just a random thought. Since having a top on your buggy makes it harder to get in and out of, would putting a zipper in to open up the area immediately above you head work?
Like either a 24 inch section from the edge to the middle or a 24 inch section towards the middle then 90 degrees towards the windshield? Would it flop around too much?
Not even sure if it's a good idea at all, but all I can do is brain storm until I actually start building a buggy and this is one of those random thoughts that popped up in my head. |

With the configuration of my kitcar type buggy, I almost always keep the driver side of top off. Certainly does make for easy jump in and out. Not sure how it'd turn out for a rag top, might try to bubble up and/or flap?

I'm definitely looking for an easy way to get in and out of a buggy. I guess I wont find out until I start building it. I'll probably get 2 or 3 tops made to try out different configurations. Only concern is how much will that zipper flap around.
Might add a strap to attach it to the rollbar to see if it'll help prevent or reduce it from flying around too much. |
