X2 on the calcium chloride rusting your van. We were up there last year and drove through a forest fire with escorts on the way up the Demster and on the way back it rained so hard the fire was out but we had 1/4" of mud and calcium chloride all over our truck. Actually I was glad I didn't have my van along.

Enjoy your trip!

Since it’s only gonna be a handful of weeks and I go crazy cleaning my vans after off-road trips, I’ll be sure to take care in getting it completely clean!

We are leaving from Utah next Saturday July 21. Headed up the Whistler route to Valdez and Anchorage. Then up to Prudhoe and across to Tuktoyaktuk then back through Jasper to home. 4 weeks. Maybe we will see some of you on the road.

That looks like an awesome trip! I noticed that you are doing the Agony ride on July 27th and 28th. It's a great ride for a very good cause!

Thanks! I pick my bike up this Monday from the shop (busted my derailleur and it wrapped in the back wheel at low speed) and if the vanagon engine is done in time I’ll be driving it down for the race! Hoping to have a few more sponsors by then to reach my goal of $2000 for the non profit that puts it on. Very Happy
