Just glad to be back on the road for now.
Are pictures of the trip included?

Just finished the trip. All told we did about 2100 miles. After the condenser issue was taken care of the car ran great. Although it was loaded down with a bunch of camping gear.
I'll attach some photos here. I do plan on doing another topic to introduce myself when I have more time.

I hate these posts about people having fun with their minivans. Can’t we have more “ I poured transmission oil into the bell housing” activity?
I’m sad about that tree, I hope it was dead before the cut it open. _________________ .ssS! |

Great pictures.
It looks like they used a High top as a templet to cut out the top portion of the tree.
Glad you made it home safe.

Believe it or not that tree is still alive.
"Klamath Tree
Sixty minutes north of Eureka, the newest of the drive-thru redwoods sits atop a hill near Redwood National Park and Yurok tribal lands along the Klamath River. The craftsmen who carved the opening to the Klamath Tour Thru Tree in 1976 carefully avoided critical areas of living wood, safeguarding the health of the tree. "
here's another view:

While the bulk of the trunk is not actively supplying nutrients I don’t think they avoided cutting out a large part of the cambium making that passage.
As the tree is still flourishing, I’ll tip my Hat to them, though _________________ .ssS! |
