Hey guys,

It seems my sliding door is not original and I was wondering if you could help identify the year.

I've seen other's for sale and I'm wondering if they are interchangeable?

Thanks

Ben

EDIT: Here's an example of the type I'm seeing for sale. Looks a little different. Not sure if it's interchangeable, anyone know?

At a quick glance it looks like an early style lock. The square peg to the left of the handle is for locking the door from the inside. There is supposed to be a little cream colored tab that slips on there.

But if you just find a early exterior handle, the whole lock mechanism slides out inside the handle and can be exchanged that way as well if the rest of the door assembly is fine

You can use a 1971-73. But you need the control cables as well.

Note the the control rod and metal bracket on the side. Instead of two control rods.

That's really useful. Thanks very much. It's a big pain not being able to lock the door from the inside. Finding the missing lock tab / handle thing on it's own would be next to impossible I'd imagine.

If you have any idea where I might get one please do let me know.

Thanks again for your help

no flipping way, I can't believe you found that. I went through pages of google and it didn't come up on my search. Wow, thanks very much.
