They should have a little hook attached as well that are missing that are used to hang your seatbelt on.

coat hangers (really) . Folks who have shirts pressed need a place to hang those shirts and dresses. There was also a hook under it for the seat belt.

Soapy water with a little bleach will clean that vinyl nicely.
As for the knobs, I find them useless to hang much from. Even a baseball cap will hit your shoulder and seem to be in the way. |

Somewhere in a box, I have two packs of the hook that goes under the knob. There are two hooks to a pack. They were re-pops from the 1980’s or 90’s near as I can tell. Not EMPI, but not VW.
Have not seen any for sale, but I imagine they’re out there. |
