Nice.
Does the glove box door clear the fan?
Does the fan work with the air coming from the side vent windows or do they fight each other?
How much current does it draw? |

The wing windows weren't doing it for you? Those things can blow about 70mph...depending on how fast you drive . Prolly a little more air flow than that fan could do. _________________ -74 Standard - "CaliBug" 2084T, MS3X w/FI and Crank Fire

More of a solution to the standstill traffic/slow city driving, really. On the highway I turn it off _________________ 1973 Standard Beetle

Exactly, during my trips through town, I rarely get over 25mph...the fan helps a lot...I've enjoyed a bunch the past week or so...also, when the wife is with me, she closes the wings...lol _________________ Our 1968 Zenith Blue Beetle: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=619501

When I removed the non-working dealer-installed AC from my 1970 during its "resurrection" 1.5 years ago, I opened up the underdash evaporator box and found the evaporator coils really blocked by leakage of oil and dust. So I removed the evaporator and just mounted the underdash unit, and use that as a 3-speed fan.
Yes, you see my vintage underdash surface mount speakers in the photo. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each.
