I used DAS two years ago. And it was $500 for shipping a type 2 from Los Angeles to Seattle, terminal to terminal, open transport, and a 30 day window. This time it's over $1200!
Who's the cheapest option on the west coast? Anyone research this lately? |

Yes. I know. I used it to find DAS. I'm looking for people that have actually used any of these companies. Or if they know that prices have gone up that much in two years? Or what? I know there are guys on here that ship cars alot more than I do. Just hoping for someone to chime in with who the say top 3 cheapest shippers are in the US. Most of these places are just middle men. Adding a fee onto your cars trip. Even yelp reviews show that many of them that sell you the service are not the ones that pick up your car and move it.
So maybe I should clarify.
I'm looking for the top tier auto shippers in the US so I can get the best price possible. |

Just wanted to clarify one thing. This car is operable. But only worth less than 3k. So hard to justify paying a third of the value to ship. That's why were looking for something cheap.
No offense intended to you guys with collector cars wanting it to go the best way. This is just a heap were trying to keep in the family. lol. |

Value and space taken up are not contingent on each other..... A car is a car as far as the space and cost to move, be it a Escort or a Ferrari. The only difference is the insurance value. There are many times the cost of the haul was more than the value of the car/ bike/ merchandise. If you can get a car moved for less than $1.00 a mile your lucky.
These factors need to be thought of before buying something. Buy with total cost in mind not cost of just the car. This is becoming more and more of a problem with the land of "free shipping" we have become. One reason I list things for the "shipped" price, like say a $20 cooler costs $30 to ship so I sell it for $50 shipped. Again the shipping is MORE than the item cause that is what it costs to ship. |
