Always enjoy your updates.
And a comment, the spacing between your spice rack and cabinet with the door shut looks Awfully tight. I would suggest that you check that carefully to avoid impact when slamming the door. Of course, we never slam bus doors, right? |
Only a psychopath would slam the rear cargo door with the fridge open.
It is only tight with the fridge drawer out and will not be a common thing to close the door while the fridge is open. Still over 1/8" of space with the door pushed hard in. _________________ My 64 Kombi restoration

Got the table working. Still need something to hold it against the wall so it doesn't rattle. Also plan a small rod to hold the leg out but not really needed.
I notched the curved leg into the table on both ends so table would fold tight to the wall. Used some 1/8" rod as a pivot notched into the top with aluminum plates to hold the ends in place. A ball catch cut through the leg holds the leg tight to the table.
The leg set forward makes it easy to slide across the rear bench. The front bench is also very easy to get in and the leg is not in the way. Leg also clears the bed though doubt we would ever want the table with bed out.

That leg looks good and works nicely.
I am using the same type of snap, like the ones used on SO 42 tables, on mine. At least in Germany they are still widely available. |
Thinking something similar but on the wall high enough to hold end of table tight to wall. Don't much like the latch there with table up though. Other option is to mount catch on cabinet high enough so male end does not extend past cabinet face with table up. Will not hold as well but also will not show with table up.
Need to order another latch as I can not find anything in our small town. _________________ My 64 Kombi restoration

i loved the table in my SO 44. so adjustable, long way, sideways, or completely out of the way in the bed if i needed the space for storage. Also no way to kick the leg out. _________________ regards
