I cut 2 1/2" of the front bench top. Makes getting in and out of bed easier and doesn't change the comfort.

Had a great summer with the bus but time to put it away.

Unpacked. Surprising just how much stuff was in there. Going to do some work on it this winter so removed everything including cushions.

Few things I want to get done.

Table
Spice rack. Going to be smaller than originally planned.
Shelves in the rear cabinet.
Joiner strips in ceiling.
Clothes line. Need somewhere to hang wet towels when traveling.
Add 2 deluxe coat hooks.
Sub drawers above fridge.
Covers for the electrical area.
Vent battery charger outside.
Tweak the awning poles and add sides.
Add rigid pickup tube in water tank.
Build side lights and awning lights
Install inverter
Install solar charger
Install disconnect switch on conversation battery
Hookup new fridge temperature sensor
Add basket in top of fridge
Add Bluetooth control
Install gas heater
Build outside table that will store below bench

Think that's about it...

Getting a few camper bits started.

Parts cut for the spice rack out of 3/8" plywood. Decided to make it thinner than most. 3.5" at deepest part. Keeping it 2" above floor for toe room when sitting on bed.

Found a nice latch for the fridge. I will need to fix some screw holes and the catch will be a bit of work to mount. I like the look and I can get rid of the stick of shame. Smile

I need to vent the battery charger through the floor. Too much heat in the summer. Will look around for something to duct the air.

Spice rack frame glued up. Used the saw table to keep it flat and square.

Modified an inverter.

Added a switch wire so the controller can turn it on and off. This inverter has a rocker switch that was powered directly from positive stud. Cut the supply and added an external wire.

The controller will have different modes. Off, engine running, timed, and constant on.

We won't use it much. Maybe charging a laptop while driving.

Got the fridge latch on. No more stick of shame Smile

I like how it works. Easy to pull and latch. The striker slides through from the back. I have a few holes to fill and touch up the finish. I may add an aluminum angle behind the header as a stiffener. It does flex a bit when latching.

Sanded and fitted the spice rack to the door. Made the lips and glued two on.

Spice rack fitted. Just clears the fridge. Going to be very useful and quite a bit of storage.

I screwed through the panel from the back. Only a few screws are installed so that will fit better when finished. Would like to have a cover on top but don't know how to hinge it that won't make access difficult. I could have a cover that just sits on.

Added shelves to the right rear cabinet. We use it for clothes. The shelves will keep it organized some.

I made patterns from some plastic so they would fit nice. I will finish them once I get a bunch of stuff ready for shellac.

Started the sub drawers for above fridge. They will help keep the drawer organized.

I will add 1/8" plywood sides and ends once the glue dries.

Decided to make a cover for the spice rack. Looks more finished.

I will just attach blocks to the bottom to hold it in position for now. Have an idea for a hinge to allow it to slide out and down for access.

Stunning work! There is a company called B&M hardware that makes a solid brass chrome plated cupboard turn that might match your fridge latch better then the stamped sheet metal ones. I'm sure there must be a few dealers in Canada. I used to be a historic home hardware salesman. There are none better made in my opinion.

I plan to change them out at some point. They were about $2 each and I could not find the solid brass ones for less than $30 each. The cheep ones work ok and if you don't look too close they are not that bad. Smile

Experimented with making a ceiling panel joiner tonight.

I started with 1/4 x 1 1/2" birch. Made an angled guide for the table saw to make the concave center. Then cut the sides off and sanded round.

It is a little over a 1/16" thick in the center so will need to be carfull installing screws. Still needs lots of sanding but happy with how it came out. Now I need to build 3 more.

Got the sub drawer made.

Work nice. They will go back another 1" or so when I get the correct screws in the slides. I need to cut out the sides a bit on the wide drawer for our large plates to sit.

Wish I had thought to notch the slides into the draw so the sub drawers would have only been simple boxes.

Completed the ceiling joiners. I narrowed the first one 1/8" and sanded it down some for a nicer look. Made the others to match.

I will get some screws and install them before adding finish. Will try #6 pan heads or maybe #8 ovals. 5 per side I think

Always enjoy your updates.
And a comment, the spacing between your spice rack and cabinet with the door shut looks Awfully tight. I would suggest that you check that carefully to avoid impact when slamming the door. Of course, we never slam bus doors, right? Laughing
