Drove thing today. Haven't been driving lately but a few miles every 3 to 5 weeks. Over 100* today so I decided to open hood to see if I could determine if engine was too hot, temp seemed OK. But I noticed gas dripping from throttle shaft. I don't see how gas would even be there with engine not running. I did notice it wasn't idling good today so I went back an adjusted carb but it didn't help much if any. Did get idle speed up a little which kept it from dying when I came to stop. I rebuilt carb a little over a year ago and throttle shaft was good and only drove since then about 100 miles. I think throttle shaft fit should still be good. Since no seal is there gas would drip if gas was up there but none should be there. Any ideas?

I did and I see nothing wrong. Float has no gas in it and needle seats good. I did notice in carb just under carb top it was wet with gas there. The leak stops before all gas is gone from bowl.

Busdaddy on the Bay forum came up with a way to bleed excess fuel back to the tank aftershut down. You might search up his old post and see what he did.
