Hi guys - sorry if its in the wrong section.
I have a VW Golf 1.6TDi 2015 and i've recently been getting a whistling type noise which is heard at all gears at any revs with windows closed.
I have linked a video that I have just taken which I hope helps, so people may be able to suggest and advise if anything serious?

You can hear the 'whistle/whine' when accelerating, it does go a little 'louder' when accelerating at higher revs. I don't notice when in neutral/or standstill. However once the car is at standstill and then engine is off (with start/stop) you can hear another delayed noise too which then cuts off (end of the video).
Appreciate the assistance. |

Check hose clamps on intake between turbo and intake manifold.
Check for exhaust leaks.
Turbo diesels are going to whistle, but if it's a new noise / getting louder, check for leaks. _________________ foam cowboy hats aren't good helmets. |

You either have a boost leak or you are getting ready to lunch a turbo, you better determine which it is because a bad turbo can take out the whole engine. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.
