Wow...I dont think we have ever seen a cog light,switcb in the US. Canada maybe.

Let me check my books when I vet home Saturday. It looks like....and should not be much different.....than the rear window defroster switch .

It should have a constant + and -. Pulling the switch should dirltribute power to the fig lights and the lighted knob. Ray

Thank you Ray, it must be similar to the defroster switch, but this one has 2 positions but i do not know the function of each one.

The switch 411959631 is listed as nebelschlussleuchte (rear fog light switch) in the parts diagram.
Why it should have two positions I dont know.

A guess for the connections are:
NES = nebelschlussleuchte (rear fog light)
58 = side marker lights/ parking lights
ZN = Zundung? (ignition?)

...but this has to be verified by a diagram!!

If it has two positions, the first may be for the front fog lights and the second will switch both, front and rear.
58 may be the connection to the lights, so the fog light will only be on in combination with the main light.

Perhaps similar to this baywindow switch?

Or possibly similar to this switch that user Hopkin has? See this thread for his scanned instruction sheet. Looks to have similar terminal designations as you switch?

Or this discussion could be useful
