I think I am getting his buggy from my uncle. He bought it and we discussed it, he’s gonna take the engine and I am gonna buy the rest. But like most other non Manx buggies identification is always tricky. I have already visited DBA to no avail.
Anyone have any ideas on pedigree?

Look at X0045 on the D B Archives. The very unique tail is the same, the sharp corners and very pronounced wiper bosses look the same. Dash looks same. What do you think?

Yeah I looked at that one. But there was just not enough similarities to make me convinced it was the same

Yeah it does look very similar. Is there a link or a site where this is on. I would like to see more photos of it.

The biggest difference that I saw was the headlights where they were mounted on yours versus the white Buggy. But also notice there are rubber hold downs at the top of the hood. Looks like an opening forward hood conversion. You would need to move the headlights or the hood would hit them. Looks like these could have been moved. But no pedestals where they used to mount. Maybe shaved off by the PO? This is all conjecture because there is nobody to ask. Post is too old maybe.

so i contacted a fellow in Quebec who has one for sale.
besides the soft top and the dash appearing different, the rest looks exactly the same.
he said the guy he bought it from said the manufacture was SMS American.
anyone know about that manufacture??
