Hi Guys,
Just resealing the sides of a 69 swing axle trans. Pulled the axle tubes off with a puller, no ready to put them back on.
What sort of difficulty can i expect in pushing the assembly back onto the axle? I guess I'm talking about the rear bearing assembly. |

There is a tool to drive the bearing on the axle. It is a tubular concern about a foot long and had a bearing sized driving end on the area that contacts the bearing, it was made in such a way to contact both the inner and outer bearing races.....it really just taps on with hammer blows. I guess you could build one pretty easy. Don't forget your beveled spacer behind the bearing. _________________ '69 Karmy, '69 Camper, Meyers clone, '65 drag bug, 10.78 @ 128 (sold it) '51 Dodge farm truck,
