Anyone seen these front suspension stiffeners before? Owners here claim they are OEM.
M-code 6 reads as follows:
Front axle support and reinforced rear torsion bars
from Chassis No. 110 2141 186 up to 110 3100 000
from Chassis No. 110 2141 186
from Chassis No. 111 2000 001
But, the car's below are earlier. The orange is a 67.

Yeah,... I've always considered them urban legends .. .. you know.. the sorta thing you've only heard about .. but never seen.

CSP says that their product is based on the OEM design.
As to the design, I can see how it would prevent the axle from being flexed on the horizontal plane, but it seems to add little to the vertical plane flexing.
But back to my OP -- I suspect the m-code list in the tech section is incomplete as it is not showing this option as being available on pre-70 cars even though other evidence seems to indicate it was.
VW did reuse option codes. So perhaps m-6 was also the option code for the earlier cars. _________________ 1971 1302LS Convertible (RHD) owned since '74
