with today's fuel it's hard to tell, but I try to get a nice 'chocolate" brown when Dialing in the Jetting so I'd say no on a hotter plug ,, I try and run the coldest plug I can get away with _________________ 'Black Ice'Drag Buggy 'Turbo'

Plug color with today’s fuel is a complete superstition. You’d glean more about how your engine is running by throwing some bones on the floor.
The only thing I look for on my plugs is signs of oil fouling
How is the engine running? |

NGK 8's is a cold plug, might bump it down to 6's.
also I cut the threads off to expose the whole electrode -- tells a more complete picture _________________ Turbo 2276 MS3X build http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=673125
