Width of a 56 oval bug ?

I'm hoping to pick up a 56 oval in a few weeks trying to sort out transport. Rather than hire a large van & trailer (i'm in the uk) i'm told it may go in a long wheel base sprinter van. It doesn't have wings on so it's the width from outside of wheel to the other outside of wheel (standard tyres ) I need to know.
Would anyone please be able to measure their bug please for me & let me know.

think you'll be struggling (unless you're built like geoff capes), according to my books the track of an oval beetle is 50.5 inches front and 50.7 rear. remember that's between centre lines of the tyres so you would have to add a full tyre width onto this (guessing 7 inches maybe?). googling sprinter vans indicates that the width between rear wheel wells is 53 inches...(to me, to you, to me... )
I've had a couple of beetles transported quite long distances and found it easier to pay a transporter guy. saves a lot of hassle; hiring the right rig, cost of driving there, loading safely, insurance etc.

Thanks for reply, fella im buying off has transported a split bug this way before tho he had a modified sprinter van. The oval has no engine,interior,glass,doors,bonnet on etc just pan & shell rest is separate so should be ok getting it up ramps into the van if it will go in

Got it home ok, it's a UK RHD 56, matching numbers,95% complete

see you opted for a tail lift luton van in the end- wise choice. am intrigued by the two holes at each end of the grilles under the rear window, what were they for...?

Yeah went for the Luton I knew it would definitely go in then after a 6 hr drive to get there !! I have no idea on the holes either, I wondered a rear rack maybe ?
