I have the same question. I don't have an awning yet, and keep switching between the ARB and the crank-out Fiamma. Love the(reasonably-priced) options for the ARB, love the crank-out, choose your width, feature of the Fiamma.
Sounds like you need a get together with someone with an ARB room and then you take do an extensive photo-documentary posting on TheSamba for me, ..er...I mean, the community. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

Yep. I have seen the arb awnings and they are great for their price. But they are somewhat fragile, do not handle winds well, pita to set up, and limited in configuration. The fiamma f45 is great at everything but price, and I am willing to pay the price.
I may ask to borrow someone's arb screen room and see how I could mod it to fit a fiamma, but first I need to get my euro bus set up for the fiamma and that will not happen until much later this year or next spring.
In the meantime I am hoping someone else may have noodled thru this... _________________ Dave O

Looking for a screen room for a Fiamma F45 awning. The Fiamma version is VERY expensive ($1500). |
For the Cadillac version, yes. Fiamma makes more than one enclosure:
Privacy Room Light: https://www.fiammastore.com/Fiamma-Privacy-Rooms-a...45s-Awning
Privacy Room Ultra Light: https://www.fiammastore.com/Fiamma-Privacy-Rooms-and-Blocker-Panels/Fiamma-Privacy-Room-Ultra-Light
You could buy both of the Light versions for what the regular Privacy Room costs. And the Light versions are more like ARB's.
As for the ARB, it mounts to the awning's side rafters. You'd most likely have to get Fiamma's accessory side rafters or clip rails... or make your own version.
I've got a Trans-Awn 2000, which is similar in function to the ARB and adapted Bus Depot's awning enclosure panels to fit. So, there are indeed ways to be creative in getting an enclosure to work with what you have. _________________ ~Kamz

There was a fiamma full add a room on the samba classifieds for like 6 months. I bet it never sold. Maybe ask an admin if they can send you the ad. The ad was being run during last Christmas. Dont quote me but it was only $600 bucks + shipping.
I own one myself, the thing is absolutely bonkers (curtains, zippered vinyl windows, 5000 - 6" stakes, etc. |

I posted my screened in Fiamma. The total cost (included PVC for a curved roof) was under $50.

Hey Dave,
Is there any way to pop rivet a "C'" channel in your awning box? That's how the ARB room attaches at the van. The outside edge zippers together after a tab is slid in the channel on the outside box the legs fold into.
It's a well built screen room although I haven't actually used it yet. Set it up once to try it...
Fun project...I'm confident you will make it work...

I just bought one of the new ARB rooms (updated version since Feb. '18 I think) for my ARB awning and used it over the weekend.
The main challenge I can see is exactly what bjrogers86auto pointed out - finding a way to attach the C-channels for two long lengths of piping to slide into.
Check this video (starts around the time he shows the channel)
https://youtu.be/0Stgj_Q-qow?t=3m9s
You'll need some sturdy collapsible poles to make the upper side "rafters" as kamz mentioned. It also clips around the vertical poles at the front of the awning, but you could probably sew in velcro to strap it around the Fiamma poles if the ARB clips won't work. |

No need, it's already built in. _________________ I don't check these forums daily and often loose track of threads and comments. Please PM me a reminder if you're waiting on a reply. Thanks! |

+1 on the channel. It's already there on my 45S.
Is there anywhere in the U.S. or Canada that you can order Fiamma stuff from? I'm looking for one of their Sunview sunscreens and it seems like the U.K. is the closest... |

I emailed a couple of Fiamma vendors in the U.S. about ordering Fiamma stuff in the U.S. and one of them said that you can order directly from Fiamma in Orlando but you have to do it over the phone - (407) 672-0091. I haven't tried it because I found a shade screen on Amazon that I think I'll try: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075R8DFV2/?coliid=I3W4U..._lig_dp_it |

Before my ARB purchase I messed around with some home made versions. One challenge was finding twist lock extending poles that were quality. The painting poles are ok but not as nice as the ARB ones.

For the cost, I think the ARB screen room is the best starting point. I was considering a free standing screen canopy (no floor) on ebay for $50. Similar to the Ozark Trail screen room. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-10-x-10-Ins...mp;veh=sem I thought I could leave out the poles and put it over the top of the awning, then stake the corners. The only mod needed would be cutting back the screen on the van side so I could slide it over the awning, then velcro the screen back in place over the sliding door. I think that would work o.k. but the fully enclosed ARB screen would probably come out a lot better with just a little tayloring. The straight sides would look a lot better. My awning is the F35 but it is the same general idea.
I ruled out some other options like a 3 sides screen surround because you really need all 4 sides in order for it to seal up good. |

Thanks for the references. I had fogotten those.
I likely will get the arb room and make it fit the fiamma. I'll post when I do.
Anyone else have ideas on making the mods please chime in. |
Did you ever have any luck with this? |

FYI, Fiamma released a "cheaper" screen room - the 300 Ultra-Light. Van Cafe used to have it for $850, though out of stock - https://www.vancafe.com/21532NOVA-p/21532nova.htm.
There is a Fiamma dealer in Asheville - https://www.blueridgeadventurevehicles.com/. Last we talked, he was very helpful on the phone and can get anything in the catalog.
That and a F45S are on my wish list. _________________ '85 Westfalia 1.9L

Try it yet?
If anyone is around the East Kootenays or Calgary and has an Arb add-a-room, I'd love to try it on my Fiamma awning! |
