Came across the pic when going through some slides of my father-in-law. My wife remembers going to Wallaceburg, Ontario to pick up this brand new bug. Dealership was Modern Motors. We are trying to date the car. Notice the VW on the hubcaps is not black. Thinking 62-64?? Any thoughts?

Looks like large more rearward mount front turns.. with a small window body so that's only a 1964 .

I agree- and the wheel color combo is '64 only. Also the lower-profile license light housing is visible.

Thanks. 1964 makes sense as far as the ages of my wife and her brothers in the picture. Before that car, her dad owned a green oval 1957. We were married in 1974 and during those 44 years we have always owned and driven at least 1 bug, usually 2. So VW bugs have been a life long thing for both of us.
