It looks somewhat similar in shape and general design to a Split Bus Deluxe dash clock but of course, the look is totally different.

VW bus clocks are also electric - you do not have to wind them.

I have never seen this clock so I doubt it is from any VW.

Maybe someone else will recognize it.

many thanks for the reply, yes i did see one in a vw, bus, this is why i was asking, clocks are added to cars etc, the first ones were clockwork, then changed to electric, so i was thinking a early vw car ? 1950s ?, also the bus one i found was curved , could it have been a beetle ? early add on ?

It's not VW.
I've never seen this clock, ever.

Yes, Bus ones are sort of curved to match the dash.
It would be almost impossible to use that winder in a Bus though.

Yes, it could have been hacked into a Beetle glove box door.
Anything could. Smile

Since you are in the UK, I would search for a general British car Forum and ask there - maybe they can identify what car it's from.

Or randomly start searching for vehicle clocks on ebay.co.uk and see if you find a match
