Today at 5pm I saw a cool Silver Syncro with an awning traveling East on Old Milton Parkway. Wondered if it was anyone on here. It looked to be a cool, solid Vanagon.

Thanks for reaching out! Yes, I'd like to get some Atlanta area guys together to plan some meets. Rather than Caffeine & Octane we could have Westys and Waffles!

The property is the primary reason I bought my Westy. Went up last week to get the meadow cleared. Still got some work to do. It would be complete boon dock camping up there.

Is there another Winter camping event being planned for 2019?

I remember people driving all the way around the perimeter when it was first built just because you could - with almost no traffic.

I'm about 30 miles North OTP. There's a lot of options for a one night or weekend camp out event here in North Georgia, Western North Carolina, and East Tennessee.

I've got a long way to go on our property, but it's the primary reason I bought Von Westy. I wanted a vehicle that I could go up for a long weekend and get some work done.

Here's what it looks like after we bush hogged it last weekend.

That property looks great!!!

A group of us usually does a dirt road oriented cruise and camp MLK weekend and there is always the FMBC Dead of Winter campout at Cloudland Canyon in February.

Many years back (edit: it was early 2013) a bunch of us met one afternoon at the Varsity downtown. I believe that's where I first met CessnaJon and Dale with the early Bostig. Atlas was there with wife and dog in tow too!

That was good times, let’s do it again. I saw Dale a few months back in the city. I know he’d be down for a gtg too. Can’t wait to see Ben’s syncro.

Thanks benandmj! Maybe when I get the new fuel tank in I'll drive up to the property this weekend and enjoy it for a brief moment. Your pic of your weekend adventure makes me realize I probably have to be a lightweight with my street tires at the moment. Where were you when the pic was taken?

That looks like a great turnout you guys had at The Varsity a few years ago. We could probably get that many and more to a meet & greet, then maybe plan some adventures.
