I just picked up a mint pop top roof for my tin top, but I broke one of the corners off removing it from my van, about a 5" section. I was removing it by myself, which was a...

I am coordinating a repair in my Multivan top. Cracked from a tree limb by the skylight. Look into boat and Jetski fiberglass work. There are reinforcements done there that have to take significant force - lots to learn from that community on fiberglassing. And most anything is repairable in the fiberglass world. I used to be a big standup Jetski finatic and even built a hull from scratch with a friend in a weekend using a mold

Lookup reinforcing superjet hull and you’ll start to learn some of the tricks that you can adopt to fixing your Westie corner

If you are referring to the metal portion of the top, you shouldn't have to fabricate anything as your tin top will have the same part, or you can get the broken section back into shape and weld it back to the top.
