Woah that’s a flashback.. that Ole’ Reliable was pulled in 2017 at Xevin’s bug inspection when I missed the GEX sticker under the fan shroud exactly 26,021 miles ago. The NAPA in town didn’t have a spare belt for the bug, but they had a genuine 9.5x900 38-amp belt. (I’ve never seen another in a brick and mortar store.) Funny, because it was in a 9.5x905 sleeve. I gave Xevin my spare 905 and stuck the 900 on my bus and saw a 5-10 degree drop in head temps from Sacramento to LA compared to my usuals.
Did you know Carol’s belt ripped seven minutes after I sold her?
SGKent, I’ll give that a shot. I’m not in the habit of carrying standard thread bolts with me, and none of my metric hardware fit... guess I have to do a search.

yes but your belts are made of grizzy bear heir, and they don't last as long as the whale fur belts that Robbie uses. In fact each of his belts has the logo - Whale-O-Tale Fan Belt Co, Cardiff CA, on it. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

What would be interesting to know is this-
How many other Americans have a 45-50 year old, classic vehicle that they put 100k miles on over the past 5 years? It has to be a small club for sure.
Maybe you should contact VW of America Robbie. You could propose using you and your bus for their next nostalgic advertising campaign. VW could brag that 50 years after being built, this VW is still touring America, driving revenue into it's hard working owners pocket. |
It'd be a hardsell.
No airbags or antilock, stability control courtesy of the driver's eyes & inner ear
No power steering, four manually selected speeds no touchscreen.
omg the bus is a 21st Century Heeman's automobile! Steel bumpers & all. |

kind of like highwater Capris for a dude. Not pants, not shorts, but shants.
(Short Pants)
Which i think he just cuts off with scissors, then weaves them into fan belt material..let me see if i can fidn the pic in my gallery that illustrates it:

Clam diggers, Capris, Shants. I don’t care what Robbie sports. Just as long as I don’t see exposed pockets creeping out and a white tank top
Yarkle I think you wearing Jorts in your illustration _________________ Keep on Busin'
