Ok, so my 1966 Bug currently has 155 60 15's on the front. 1" dropped spindles and an adjustable beam (not narrowed). It currently has 205 65 15's on the rear. The car looks great, but I have a problem bottoming out on my driveway, speed bumps and dips in the road. My wife won't ride in the car because she has to get out to drive into our driveway. I'm thinking about raising the front about 2" with a combination of larger diameter tires and adjusting the beam. I'm thinking larger tires, because just raising the front with the current tires will make the car look goofy. So if I raise the beam 1", what size tires will add another inch or so and still fill the wheel wells without rubbing? The rear end hasn't been lowered much and as is, the car sits "nose down."

So you’re saying the front rubs while turning and the rear rubs over dips?
What are they rubbing on?

The adjusting bolt on the front beam drags. No problem with the rear.

My 2 splines lowered square still has 3.5" to my beam so I never drag! I'm running 185X60 on the front because 195X70 rubbed. Taller 205X70 tires on the rear gives me a 1.5" rake. My wife didn't really like my square until I got the heaters working!
