Sorry for the delay, here is the final product of all my random posts about interior. The only remaining thing I have to do is the wood steering wheel now....

I'm not crazy about plaid, but Wow, those look great. Who made them? _________________ Eventually, "we are what we pretend to be.’”

I sourced the plaid from Scotlandshop.com, the upholstery work was done by Clifton at Big Daddy's Upholstery in Natick, MA. The guy is a perfectionist, getting every single plaid line centered and identical from seat to seat. Even the baseball cut of the plaid on the headrest is lined up with the same piece of the blue being on each side of the tan so it matches. |

Wow!!!! That’s stunning!!! As a fellow OCD person I immediately noticed the attention to detail regarding the consistent alignment of the pattern.
That really sets off your entire car. Great call. Awesome choices and execution. It makes me want to do something similar to my 79. But I’ll likeky chicken out and go all white. _________________ 51 Standard Split Window Bug

I like it! Although the logo on the headrest is a bit much for me. _________________ Beeble1, ‘73 Super (o\_|_/o) 1600cc w/ Dealer A/C

Im torn on this one still as well. I realized that nowhere else on the entire 1977 Super Beetle is a VW logo actually present and so I wanted something like this. Now that they are on there I am wishing they were a little more subtle, maybe just tan stitching instead of the green would have been a better choice. The good news is those are only about $150 to replace if i decide to later |

but without the logo how would any body know it's a vw bug????
for my ocd lining up plad matches this way but when it rounds the top and looses some lines.....where was I going again?.... but it does look great!!!
Im not a fan of bugpack parts, but Ive always thought thier old thick heavy bugpack valve cover would make a awesome headrest.( no not the cover it's self but a soft squshiy one for a headrest...or it may give you a headache. |

Looks to be a very well done job. Not my cup-of-tea style-wise but I always appreciate quality work. _________________ 1968 Beetle |

I like the logo.
If I were going to do something different with the headrest, I’d do it in all plaid (of course, with the pattern perfectly lining up with the seats).
But I’d leave it just as it is. My 79 doesn’t have a VW logo OR Volkswagen script on it anywhere except the Center caps on the wheels. And they’re 72 wheels. That bugs me a bit (bad pun). When I get it painted I’m adding a script to the rear deck lid. _________________ 51 Standard Split Window Bug

Wow! Gorgeous! I've always loved the green exterior/tan interior look, but what a stunning twist to the traditional pattern! Your plaid reminds me of fabrics used in some of the older watercooled car interiors. Kinda like a coming full circle sorta thing. I'm not normally a fan of wooden steering wheels, but that interior screams out the need for one.
I love it!!

With such a bad ass interior, I’d rock a matching kilt with a VW logo on each cheek. _________________ 51 Standard Split Window Bug
