Just read in the paper this morning the EPA is pushing congress for E15 to replace E10 gasoline. FYI, even my 2012 Nissan says not to use anything above E10 fuel.
FYI, NISSAN's Infinity Brand announced that by 2020 or 21 no more gasoline powered Infiniti's. |

It's the other way around. Some rat-bastards from both sides of the aisle are pushing the EPA to "relax" standards. Follow the money.

It's all politics. Take the money out of big oil corporations and put it into the pockets of the farmers. There is no science behind the reasoning for this. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

Many cities in Europe are passing laws where ICE vehicles will be banned. Remember when people said horses would never be replaced by cars? It's interesting how history repeats itself and the roles of the players are shifted. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

Yes, they were all built with an expiration date. People need to read the fine print. _________________

Porsche will stop offering diesel versions of its cars to sharpen its focus on hybrid and battery-powered vehicles, announced chief executive Oliver Blume.
Even RUF is building a electric sports car. They see the writing on the wall that the days of the internal combustion engine in Europe whether gas or diesel will be over soon. |

You can make an EV sound anyway you want. The new Infinitis will have external speaker options from such suppliers as Polk, Klipsch, and Bose and a equalizer software to make the EV sound like a Harley or a Beetle. |

Just going to convert to E85 and be ahead of the curve already.
For the story at hand, all I've read says they want to allow the sale of E15 year round - which means that it would just be sold in areas where it is already sold, except it would be available for the whole year, instead of seasonally. If your station doesn't already sell E15, it probably isn't going to start to. |

Pardon my ignorance guys but what the heck is E15? Ethanol? And why is it a seasonal fuel? |

Honda's already doing this with their 3rd gen Insight. Most reviews say they do not care for it (the artificial sound, not the car)

It's seasonal for environmental reasons, in the hottest summer months too much of the alcohol evaporates, which according to the EPA contributes to smog: https://www.epa.gov/gasoline-standards/gasoline-reid-vapor-pressure
Don't ask me why E85 gets a pass (maybe because it doesn't count as gasoline, I guess?) but E15 doesn't. In any event, E15 is not widely sold, so it's sort of a moot point. |

I have never seen any of those "E" fuels here where we live! Maybe in eastern Canada? |
