Anyone else having trouble ordering a certificate from Stiftung? The website says it's currently not available. _________________ Terry Gaudet

Why should they be free? It takes work to pull the data and create the certificate. From what I understand the records are all on microfiche so it's not like they just type in your info into a computer and hit print. _________________ Chris

I have never seen that. |
x2...would it have been a pic of the actual CAR?... No matter how good the archives, I can't imagine them containing THAT:?: _________________ 1952 Azure Blue 12G (LHD Deluxe 3-fold sunroof Sedan).

In my case, in 1979, they came with about a dozen generic photos of Beetles/Bugs from different years, often seen in previous VW advertising & promotional literature, plus a 70 page booklet, titled ' A Brief Illustrated History', all of which I still have to this day. It was a time when VW valued those who were interested in the marque, it's history, and those keeping the old vehicles alive. Sadly, largely no longer the case, other than occasional, distant PR. |

That is very interesting confirmation Martin, and makes sense; though however sad that is no longer the situation.
aa390392, is that what you were referring to as well? _________________ 1952 Azure Blue 12G (LHD Deluxe 3-fold sunroof Sedan).

WOW, those were the days.
Very good that your 'connection' at VW helped you to acquire the requisite parts (standard = holy grail of Vintage VW pats)
-And at a decent price for then. (Now even more-so).
Thanks for sharing. TheSamba remains THE SOURCE for us old dubbers...

Still, I need that info. Numbers matching to us means little but it can add significantly to the value for collectors.

Below is the email address of the person I have contacted several times at the museum in the past few weeks.
They have been great to deal with and you can Email all necessary info to them. My process took less than 2 weeks . even though there website said there was a delay. If you email them they will give you an estimate on time.
