I am new to the VW scene, 2 days in now. I've not been able to find any information regarding the digital speedometer in my 2001 Beetle. The other parts seems to work but the KM/H does not read, cable is hooked up, did not know if anyone knew of problems with these, or things to look at check. I'll tear into the speedometer and see if something is corroded later if no one knows but thought I would ask if there are common problems first.
Photos are of speedometer and the beetle for reference.

Open this link in Chrome and translate the page to English. It's a lead.
Maybe you can find more information from the site.
Oh and welcome to the samba!

18" Wheels. And I'm in Central Arkansas. The speedometer came on today briefly and then went off. It was the weirdest thing, so I'm thinking a loose wire somewhere or bad ground, but the fact that it came on tells me it works. The wiring is a mess under the hood. |
