I have these too. Love 'em both - you can eyeball the timing without the tool but the tool makes it so much easier to get it set right.

And the carb sync tool makes holding a nice steady rpm a breeze.

Yeah, some tech drawings like VW did for local manufacture tools would be cool.

At least that one is there. I can't find one for VW691 on here, might have to check my book at home.

Thats the version Everett shows with the bent/hooked end. See, mine is straight for some reason? Either early or later for whatever reasons.

I’m pretty sure I found the 691 plan here too. I remember downloading it because I wanted to see if a local metal fab shop could make it.

Now I gotta see if I can find it again...

Ah found it. I have a PDF file with plans for all the tools 675-699.

Now I gotta find out how to make it available.

I don’t remember where I got it but I figure it must have been here.
