I have these too. Love 'em both - you can eyeball the timing without the tool but the tool makes it so much easier to get it set right.
And the carb sync tool makes holding a nice steady rpm a breeze. _________________ 1965 Volkswagen 1500 Variant S

can you repop the linkage gauge?

I actually thought to do them all. But I doubt there is any kind of line that will form if I did. I might however take some measurements so you can have one made? _________________

Yeah, some tech drawings like VW did for local manufacture tools would be cool. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

At least that one is there. I can't find one for VW691 on here, might have to check my book at home. _________________ 1963 Notchback - Ruby Red

Thats sweet! Tanks for digging that up brother! So the search is on for the others?
Thats the version Everett shows with the bent/hooked end. See, mine is straight for some reason? Either early or later for whatever reasons. _________________

I’m pretty sure I found the 691 plan here too. I remember downloading it because I wanted to see if a local metal fab shop could make it.
Now I gotta see if I can find it again... _________________ 1965 Volkswagen 1500 Variant S

Ah found it. I have a PDF file with plans for all the tools 675-699.
Now I gotta find out how to make it available.
I don’t remember where I got it but I figure it must have been here. _________________ 1965 Volkswagen 1500 Variant S

Now you need to find both versions of the throttle tool, Jason.

I have the 2nd type too, would be willing to trade for the linkage gauge thingy if you find another.
