Looking for info on this engine that came in a bunch of parts with a bug I just picked up. Thinking it may be a Porsche engine? Any help would be great. On the generator stand which is built into the case there is a stamp of 122-067670 with an A above it, also has a Lange exhaust and dual solex 30 Picts, any help would be great. Sonny

This is an industrial engine. Probably a generator or water pump. Someone converted it into a automobile application.

Yes, 122- prefix is a VW industrial engine

Engine # listing on the site:
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/info/industrialdating.php

122-067670 looks like mid-1960 some time
