Whats up with this gear?

Ok so I checked mine. I see the same thing if the timing dots are not faced the same way.

Like instead of stacking the gears so both gears show up, one is up, and the other down.

If you have both gears with the timing dots up in that picture, I would guess that's the dots on your replacement gear were staying stamped on the wrong side.
