I am starting to look for wheels for my 1972 fatback . What rim/lug nut spacing specs should I be looking for.

No to theVW scene. Some hand holding would be appreciated.

I would like to get some meaty tires on the front and back. Staggered?

In addition to bolt pattern, the offset is different for Type 3s than Bugs, so watch for that.

There are threads, including those for lowered cars, you should check out.

There's a limit to how big of tires will fit a Type 3!
Wheel choice is critical.
You want a flat faced wheel rather than deep dish.
I have 185x60 & 205x70 on 2.0 liter Mobelwagen wheels on my lowered squareback.
