This has propably been asked before. But, is it possible to drop a OEM 69mm crank in a 36hp engine case? I have bought a 54 engine with a very bad crank. I wanne make this either a lager displacement 36hp or a standard one.

It won't fit, the OEM 69mm crank is made for a longer/larger 1300/1500/1600 crankcase that's completely different compared to a 36hp crankcase.

If the cheap and plentiful OEM 69mm crank was a drop-in then likely almost nobody would be buying expensive Okrasa 69.5mm cranks for their stroked 36hp engines.

Good luck with your engine build.

Thx b-man. I got 5, 36hp engines in my shop. However I always wanted to build a "more pleasant engine" that looks stock.
Im not using a 60 year old second hand crank. Ive seen lots of cranks cracked with magnaflux. Reading this forum I found WW sells brand new counterweighted ones for 499.

This mean i could potentially bump it to a max of 1500cc.
