I got a tip of a VW bus needing to be bought and moved off a recently sold property. Turned out to be this 1970 Bay Window Riviera Camper. The granddaughter of the original owner was moving up North and needed it gone. After seeing the great condition the body was in, I felt obligated to get this one back out on the road. Having the original owners story along with it makes it that more special of a find.
For now I have to many things going on to play with it. So I just bought it, rescuded it and parked it on my wifefriends moms property.
It needs a long block and muffler is all. Most the other original engine components I have.
The pick up and drop off.

What a horrifying pile of trouble that's going to be for you, I'll be happy to provide safe disposal for it for no charge, in fact I'm so nice I'll even pay the shipping. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

And that engine comes with the mid-70s California mandated smog device still threaded into the left hand heat riser. _________________ Larry in OB

Yes probably flip it after a motor is in it. Not only is it dry, its straight and og paint. Its like I stepped into 1983 No hacks either.
So before this - which below is going to happen. F U very much Tram
I had to do this.
Which now looks like this.
And I had to get one of these.
This bus as it seems most times was not looked for, wanted or needed. But yep, dayum its pretty clean for sure. Deserves to be saved and preserved.
That deck in the background is for guest chilling and relaxing when you come down for that Sunny San Diego weekend get-a-way.

Dude, that is a sweet patio/driveway. I need to pour about 30 yards of concrete. Working on my Bay in the grass is a bummer.
Pretty envious at how clean this bus is. Would it have come stock with a single port? _________________ "He pulled the mirrors off his Cadillac ‘cause he doesn’t like it looking like he looks back"
