I recently installed the hard to find stock 65-66 KG interior mirror on my car. Now I find that the sunvisors are coming up short. PO probably bought and installed incorrect ones. What ones would these be? bug?
They look similar in shape so I want to be sure that I buy the correct ones and avoid the similar looking by shorter ones.
Thanks! _________________ 1971 1302LS Convertible (RHD) owned since '74

If these are aftermarket, they might extend out on the mounting shaft. I bought a pair of TMI repops. Thought they were the wrong ones, but found it just needed to be extended a bit to reach the clips. As you can see in the last photo.

Looking for them right now. Just bought a couple new. Visor did extend out like you said it would. _________________ 1971 1302LS Convertible (RHD) owned since '74

The clips I found with all my parts (previous owner bagged and tagged some parts) we're not correct for my year Ghia. I'm wondering what yours look like. _________________ My 70 beetle was totaled Now to build the Ghia I always wanted. Rest in peace Ruby, I will miss you. Hello <insert Ghia name here>! |

Correct ones I think
I was a bit surprised that the repro 65-66 mirror light uses screw on connectors instead of spade type. Wonder why?

Looking good. Not sure why they went with that connector type. Although, a much better design than my 68... Yours has less connections, less chance of failure. Mine is a spade type at the mirror, than the lamp/lense assembly plugs into that.
