Hi
Crazy electrical troubleshooting...
When the turn signal is in the left or right turn position, the relay buzzes in a pulse and the lights don’t illuminate. The gauge turn indicator works or pulses as if the turn signal should be working but the lights are not flashing.
The emergency flasher totally works correctly. So I believe it narrows this down to the turn signal switch. Right?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Not necessarily.
Look for loose or corroded connections at the emergency flasher switch.
Good luck, Mondshine |

Thank you for the reply. Double checked the emergency flasher switch and it all looks correct. Since replacing the wire harness all the wire and connectors are new.
Any idea what the buzzing sound is from the relay? Assuming its a short somewhere.
Thanks again!

Relay buzzing is usually caused by under-voltage to the coil (or burned, corroded contacts in the relay itself).
You can check voltage coming to the relay coil with the ignition and turn signals switched on, and compare it to the input voltage with the ignition switched off and emergency flashers switched on.
If you see a difference, it is between the source voltage of Terminal 30 (ignition off) and Terminal 15 (ignition on). That will tell you where to look next.
Good luck, Mondshine |
