Carb base flange # question

Posted: Sat Nov 17, 2018 1:18 am Post subject: Carb base flange # question

So I was looking to go with a stock distributor for my VW Solex PICT 34 3 carb, and noticed that the number embossed on the base flange is VW 326-2. My Ghia is a 71 and the engine is original to the car. I thought the carb was also, but I don`t see that number listed in the charts I`ve found in the forums. The only number that was close is 325-2, and that`s for a 72. What would the matching vacuum advance distributor be for this Solex? Here`s a picture.
