In the most recent video, replacing the bus engine, Gary is a complete master and handles the jack and the motor together to get trans shaft into the clutch - a sign of a true VW Master. You guys are great, I can't believe how much fun you have together. "Tell your Aunts, Tell your Uncles" always makes me laugh. Is that a Texas thing? Telling Aunts and Uncles about stuff?

I'm still working my way through all the VW Life Episodes. I like how you guys share who makes an episode, that makes it fun. Is Gary always that happy! Lol. Can't wait to see what you guys are up to next.

I like how sometimes it's a Jake episode, sometimes it's Jake and Gary and sometimes its Jake, Gary and Matt Jackson. Makes it fun. Plus I like the drone footage when you're rolling. Now I understand that you do all the episode work! Whoever does the graphics does a great job, too.

Holy Crap Matt Jackson! Big Bend looks awesome. You got some amazing time lapse shots and dang, those stars really are bigger and brighter in Texas. How the hell did that distributor cap pin burn out like that?

thanks! yeah it's really cool when the sky is clear and there is no moon, which doesn't always happen when we go. In the next episode you see my alternator start dying, we think a low voltage situation could have been the culprit. |

You guys are nuts. What was eating Gary's generator brushes? Jake's ass!? and Helga's alternator left you in the dark! I love how you guys put these old busses to work, the brilliance of the original design and the quality of their build perform so good on those backwoods Texas dirt roads. Great video!

thanks! something is messed up with the Tab on Gary's Generator so he's going to replace it. it's at a weird angle. |

Hey, I watch your channel sometimes. It's fun, especially the long road trips where you inevitably break down in one or more of your buses! I love that you accomplish lunch, as well.
Keep up the good work and thanks for the entertainment. I'm new to the VW scene, and you make me feel better when my car breaks down or has its own troubles. It's not the end of the world! |
