Living out of my van and migrating south from WA to CA for the winter. Wondering if anyone along the way who is vanagon savvy would be willing to help me do some slight maintenance (coolant flush mainly)? Normally would go for it on my own, but really can’t afford to botch the job currently and would greatly appreciate some experienced guidance. Plus I love meeting other vanfolk! Also Willing to work trade for your time.

We also love meeting other vanfolk, but have never done a flush and fill. Might be able to help on other stuff, if only to meet and see what needs doing.

Where are you? We're in Chico but hoping to head south by mid-week, likely Reno area next, or near Placerville, then on towards Death Valley.

I can recommend a great shop for the flush... Chico Auto Tech, ask for Mark and let him know Eric referred you. Very savvy VW guy, and extremely trustworthy.

If you're driving down hwy 395, go to Sierra German Auto in Bishop, CA. Tim will take care of you.
