So i just purchased my first baja. It came with 4 chevy aluminum racing wheels that I love. they are 15x7 wheels. Im running 31x10.5r15's in the rear and im struggle to figure out what size i can run up front. I found some more 31x10.5s for the front, but im worried about to much rubbing... Is there a smaller tire I can run on these wheels? My plan is to reindex the rear and 2.5in lift spindles up front, stock beam.
Second question, If I was to have to much rubbing on the fender well, has anyone ever modified the well for larger tires? Was thinking I could cut it out and scab it in an inch inward and reinforce the head. any pics? |

31*10.5*15 rear
235*75*15 front.
Rear has 3*3 trailing arms (looking at Fox shocks )
Front has 3” raised spindles,( but am looking at another 2” beam lift. For better use of bilstein 7100 shocks. )
To counter rubbing I’ve got wheel spacers (also keeps the wheel from rubbing on the disc) and have adjusted the stops, and have ground a bit on the pan where it rubbed.
Don’t know how the spacing of your wheels compares with the Hackman’s I’ve got, but it’s a start.
