Previous owner put orange signal lights inside fenders, show through the horn grills. Awful look. They light up when signal is ON, and in parking light position. But not when headlights are ON. I plan on removing, but want my normal signal lights ON when headlights activated. Help!? |

take wire #57 off of the light switch and connect to #58 on the switch and/or 3rd or 4th fuse (output) if you want them 'fused'. _________________ Daily driver: '69 Baja owned 44 yrs - Plan B: '81 Rabbit Diesel LS Deluxe - Plan C: '72 Ghia

I think that my 67 does the same, turn signal lights only in "parking light" mode, hazard flasher mode or turn signal and are off when head lights are on. Sounds light your PO just added wiring from the stock lights to the horn grill lights. _________________ 67 Beetle Build Thread

Originally 1967's parking lights are not illuminated when the headlamps were selected on. 1967 and prior park lamps were not fused.
I rather have them fused .. and usually add one.
1968 it was changed to parking lamps on with headlamps on and fused accordingly. Terminal 57 was eliminated on the lamp switch as well.
If you want the front park lamps on with the headlamps on simply separate at the original "T" and tie/splice them into the respective left/right tail light fused side circuits (fuses 7/8 from the left viewing from inside the car or 7/8 from the right from under the hood.)
