With all the options available for bolt patterns and offsets, wondering why more guys are not running more oversized aftermarket wheels? Let's see those who have custom wheels and list your offsets/specs and pics!

17x7 with 4.5" backspace up front and 18x7 with 4.5" backspace out back.
Ford Bolt pattern. Front narrowed 6". Rear narrowed 1-9/16" each side with custom made trail arms, short side automatic Type III axles and some custom rotor machine work requiring new caliper mounts.

Since 1989 my '66 single cab pickup has been running 16X8.5" 1984 Corvette wheels and 205/55-16 tires. The front rotors and rear drums were drilled for the Chevy 5 on 4.75" (5 on 120.65mm) bolt pattern.
I used Bus Boys exchange spindles (welded on caliper brackets) and modified spring plates/special length axles/trailing arm mounts to convert to 1971 bus front discs (originally 5 on 112mm) and '70 Type III IRS rear suspension and drums (originally 4 on 130mm). Front beam has been cut and turned for a 3.5" drop, still stock width. The 'vette wheels bolted right up with no wheel spacers after the machine work was done, not sure on the wheel back spacing but it's for sure over 6".

These are the wheels I had made in the UK to fit my 1960 karmann Ghia, they are three piece Image Wheels, 6" x 17" with an ET of 55 and fitted with 185/50/17 and on the rear are 7" x 17" with a ET of 23 fitted with 205/50/17, they fit perfectly with no rubbing and look great with the added benefit of very light weight. front has a standard width beam running 6 spot calipers and vented rotors along with dropped spindles, the rear has a IRS conversion with CB rear disc's. |
