Here she is on its way to me from Ohio!
Arrived safe and sound in Missouri
Spent some time in the attached garage while doing daily driver duties

Went to STL for the Aircooled Antiques Volkstoberfest show at Schlafly bottleworks. (Me in the yellow staff shirt and my wife behind me wishing I would shut up for once in my life)

I pulled out the interior from the cargo area because I have a westy interior that I pulled out of a 1970 Tintop and I thought it would be perfect in this bus. When I pulled the interior out I found some patches that I wanted to take care of before putting the fresh interior in.
Some temporary patches to replace:

It had some strange hole above the carb on the rear package tray that I welded up. I have no idea why that would ever be necessary. Strange what happens over 54 years

Good job on the repairs. That bus is lucky it found you. Shame about the wasted effort on the prior "repairs." |

Decided I wanted some pop outs instead of the camper windows so I traded them to a friend
I patched this up before the popout was installed
pop outs!
Installed one stationary glass where the closet will be.

I like your condensed timeline on the build thread...tons o' fixes all posted up in short order.
Weird how the PO could extend the front window height and still work within the fixed horizontal planes between the roofline and the top edge of the nose. Looking great now. |

I like your raised bus, it looks great. Does it have the gear reduction tranny still and was the torsion bars adjusted to give it the height in the rear. In the front does it have a cut and turned beam or raised spindles? |

I cannot take claim to the mean stance it has, that was done before I got it. The beam was turned and has lift spindles. The trans horns were dropped 30mm and uses reduction boxes.
I am trying to do it all really fast. I miss driving it back and forth to work lol
This commanding stance is quite awesome _________________ 1952 Zwitter
