What is the "kickback" plate you are referring to? All I can think of is the kick panels below the back seat?? Or the foot rest plate??

I assume the plate with the pins that are welded to the bottom of the cross piece for the rear seat?
I need a pair two for my 70 or will just fabricate something.

KGPR sells reproductions made out of "heavy duty molded plastic but they don't have the buttons for the rubber mats.
https://airheadparts.com/vw-part/kick-plate-seat-141-813-106-b/

I searched a long time before I found these from a parts car. If you're not in hurry, you can find them.

Yes kick panels below the back seat with welded pins for rubber mats.
I need both panels and my is old shape, model may/1960 convertible, I think it is the same as lowlight 1959

Yes, 60 ghias are hard to restore with all details.. And these "oval Pins" Footrest are really hard to find. I consider going with circular on mine as it means no modification of Luis' Mats.. we will see Embarassed

I will end up in a madhouse with these details, I will weld as many circular pins.

But now I really donít understand what my KG had the original rubber mats or not, the certificate doesnít say, the floors are new with no pins welded and both are missing kick back. At the online store where I found the pins for the rubber mats they wrote it didnít.
Who can help me?
I have a year may / 1960 convertible US specification

All Ghias came with the pins.
Rubber mats were standard on the early cars, optional on later not sure when the switch was made. Iím thinking 72 but canít say for sure.

Good to know. i ran out in the garage this am before i left for work to see if i had the pins. So now i know the rest of the story!

check out topic on original interiors, and you'll have to buy a ribbed dash pad from the Aussie trimmer anyway you may want to check him out also.

Finally found an early, CorrECT more contoured at the ends 61-62? footrest. At some point 63?? the bent angled left and right ends were rounded off.
Rusty, but should be ok with a coat of por15..
Olive colored mats fresh from Luis, looks great with the upholstery, thanks Luis!. The extra paint i got from him worked perfect for the boots, being as its a 61 and just this year would have the rubber boots the same color as the mats. The original carpet color is supposed to be olive as well with these mats, but getting the tan squareweave carpet dyed may be difficult?..
Original paint nepal green handbrake.
