Yeah. I seen that listing. That is another method of installing cam bearing inserts. This way is permanent and should last the life of the block. _________________

That's quite a game changer, and a great way to salvage an otherwise worn out 36hp VW or Porsche case.
If you don't already have your own cam tunnel boring bar, and need one custom made, I suggest you talk to Rocky Jennings in Washington, he's a real cleaver machinist who already makes and sells his own line of case boring bars.
What's next? Oversize oil pump gears and machining service to save 356 3pc case front covers? _________________ 2-time NASA Pro Racing Champion, Bonneville 130 Club and 150 Club Memeber, BRS Pro Gas racer |

Actually....just yesterday I was going through my Porsche Pre-A 2pc. engine blocks and noticed that I have 3 that need some type of cam bore work. I already made 1 type of boring bar. I need to have it surface ground. I need to make the tooling to secure the bushings in place so when the boring bar is run through the cam bores, they are concentric to each other. A lot of work and I wish I had more time to dedicate to this project. _________________
