That black paint looks really nice.
I noticed you painted your bumpers black as well?

looks beautiful!!
eye on originality.. a few things - running board mat material is from earlier split, as well as the bumper uprights (those are 51 and earlier items). Also crank pulley is much later, but I'm sure you knew that

Looks nice!
Are you asking members for feedback on what might not be correct?
Let me know as I believe I see some stuff on the engine.
Apart from that, I noticed your spring holder for your accelerator cable looks backwards?
This assembly:

Hi all,
Thanks for the comments. I know several items are incorrect. I have the correct crank pulley, T air filter. Also noted the throttle linkage is fitted incorrectly. I have only seen the car from the pictures I've attached. I am due to view the car & have a final shake down shortly.
The running board rubber was purchased as 49 > 52, didn't realise it was incorrect but now fitted will have to stay.
51/52 bumper irons still required the restoration guy fitted what came with the car early irons & fitted for show to the front.
I must admit it's been a long journey & one I probably wouldn't do again as its been a six year build. Having said that I've got a 56 low light to restore in the future, this to has all matching numbers & 99% complete car with a good number of NOS parts |

Your beetle looks beautiful and it only took six years. I've been working on my 58 Ghia cabriolet for 25 years and it still isn't finished |
