Hi All
As I move ever closer to painting my low light, a couple of questions come to mind. I hope that you can help.
1. What colour was the steering column and turn signal indicator painted. Does anyone have the correct colour code?
2. What colour was the steering wheel painted? I know the middle horn button was grey but what about the wheel itself.
3. How was the battery mounted in the engine compartment. Was there a strap that went over the top or did they use clamps along the bottom edge.
Thanks all.

The wheel, column, turn signal switch, E-brake, shifter and seat frames are all L466 Silver Beige. Krylon Antique White is pretty close if you want to rattle can it. Mine is all L466.
The heater control knob is billet aluminum rattle canned.
The battery has a strap over it that attaches to the stud on one end and a loop that grabs the hook tab on the other end. I got a repop from KGPR but put the battery under the back seat.

I am also in this same road but not even close to the painting stage Dave.
There are two silver beige for 1958s my research is pointing to L277 not L466 which is later version of silver beige info is all here in the samba
